Fabulous Fours, the pre-kindergarten program at Westside Elementary School, was opened in the fall of 2004. It is a non-profit program maintained by a combination of local funds and affordable monthly student tuition fees. Registration is held each spring with the class being filled to capacity each year. The current enrollment is 30 students. The Fabulous Fours program follows the Demopolis City Schools calendar and Westside Elementary School day hours. They have an excellent half-day instructional curriculum that ends at 12:00pm with free-play and naps in the afternoon. This unique program is led by a highly qualified teacher with three full-time teacher assistants. They have two complete classrooms available full of instructional materials, toys, and learning tools designed to stimulate the young mind. There are computers available in each classroom as well as a separate playground area outside. Westside Elementary School is proud to be able to offer the community of Demopolis a program such as the Fabulous Fours! |
